Abstract
A way to develop a new TiO2 nanostructure fibre film by a hybrid electrospinning and sol gel method was investigated in this study. A nanostructure fibre with TiO2 was formed by an electrospinning technique from a sol-gel solution with 6% high mass Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone (PVP). After calcined at 500℃ for 5 hours the fibre was transferred to TiO2 nanostructure fibre with 99% anatase phase. Then the fibre was filmed on a substrate surface by the sol-gel solution and calcined again to conduct a TiO2 nanostructure fibre film. The film showed a higher porous, BET surface area, high percent anatase phase of TiO2 and nano-seize structure properties. This novel TiO2 film will be highly potential applications in many fields (e.g. as a photocatalyst in photocatalytic oxidation processes and to further develop a censor or high performance photovoltaic).
